Omni-ID MAC Addresses
This page provides information about MAC addresses and OUIs assigned to Omni-ID. The Organizationally Unique Identifier (OUI) is the first 24 bits of a MAC address and is assigned by the IEEE to uniquely identify a vendor or manufacturer.
About Omni-ID MAC Addresses
MAC addresses beginning with 0C:1E:F7: are manufactured by Omni-ID. When you see a device on your network with this OUI prefix, it indicates that the device was manufactured by Omni-ID.
The IEEE assigns OUI prefixes to manufacturers to ensure uniqueness in the global networking ecosystem. Omni-ID has been assigned the OUI prefix 0C1EF7 (among others) for use in their network devices.

MAC Address Format
A complete MAC address consists of 48 bits (6 bytes) and is typically represented in hexadecimal format with each byte separated by a colon or a hyphen. For Omni-ID devices, the MAC address would look like:
0C:1E:F7:XX:XX:XX
The first three bytes (0C:1E:F7) identify the manufacturer as Omni-ID, while the last three bytes are unique to each device.
